Hande is a machine learning researcher based in Helsinki. Her work focuses on the grounding of linguistic concepts in artificial agents, Bayesian approaches to deep learning, and representations of various linguistic concepts in deep networks, with recent interest in fast optimized inference and distributed training. She is a strong believer in the importance of community to drive innovation in AI, and is committed to supporting open research and open data to keep AI research accessible and inclusive. She holds a PhD and MSc in Computer Engineering.
